OAK RIDGE LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL FIELDS SPONSORSHIP FUND DRIVE FIELDS MAINTENANCE AND EQUIPMENT IMPROVEMENTS
The
2009/2010 Oak Ridge Little League Fund Drive is to raise sponsor
donations to fund specific equipment & field improvements to our
league's 5 primary fields used to host our Spring and Fall Seasons.
These projects include permanent improvements as well as the necessary
equipment needed for ongoing field maintenance and league operations.
In
our 38th year, Oak Ridge Little League continues to offer a youth
sports program to the community it serves within its Little League
boundaries. Although Oak Ridge has many generous sponsors, the
continued growth of the league, combined with the goal of keeping our
registration fees reasonable for all players, has a need for additional
funds to continue to make improvements to our playing facilities. Most
of the fields we play on are on school district property, but the
school district requires our total obligation to maintain them in
consideration for annual use permits.
The leagues per player
cost last year was $215.00 while registration fees were on average
$155.00 per player. Although our snack shack operations off set some of
the additional costs, we still require your support.
Our field
improvements and equipment needs yearly are above and beyond the
operating revenue required to administer and operate a youth baseball & softball
program. Registration fees barely cover our basic necessities which include
uniforms, baseballs, helmets, catchers gear, utilities, concessions
supplies, practice field fees, our Little League charter fees
and insurance.
