Calculating batting averages for Little Leaguers the way they do for Major Leaguers doesn’t make sense. The only “at-bats” that count for a MLB player’s average are singles, doubles, triples and homeruns.

(c) Note 1. Intentional Walk:Before a pitch is delivered to the batter, the catcher must inform the umpire-in-chief that the defensive team wishes to give the batter an intentional base-on-balls. The umpire-in-chief waves the batter to first base.
