We hope that all the families and especially the kids truly enjoyed the 1st annual Hitathon for Oak Ridge Little League. We received many sponsorships and want to provide you with easy ways to ensure that they are turned in properly to the league.  ALL TEAM/ PLAYER SPONSORSHIPS MUST BE IN BY MAY 20!  HOWEVER, IF YOU CAN TURN IN EARLIER IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

 
(1) Provide a check or cash to the manager of your son/daughter's team. Make the check out to Oak Ridge Little League and turn in your original copy of the hitathon sheet. If writing a check on the note area write child's name/ division/ team name. Managers will turn this into board member on designated times.

This is the recommended and easiest way to ensure money is received and your team and player gets the credit.

 
Once you input the amount simply click on (Add special instructions to the seller) Type in child's name/ division/ team name. ex.) Brandon Smith/ AAA/ Pirates.
The amount is placed directly into the league account.  Print the receipt (make copy) and hand to your manager with the hitathon pledge sheet.
 
THESE DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE AND PAYPAL IS AN EASY WAY TO GET RECEIPT FOR TAXES. 
 
DESIGNATED DROP OFF TIMES FOR MANAGERS:
ONCE THE MANAGERS COLLECT THE MONEY THE MANAGERS CAN DROP THEM OFF AT THE TIMES LISTED BELOW. 
 
May 12- Anderson- 10:00am-1pm( snack shack/ Board member)
Bernal- 10:00am-noon (Any board member or AAA Pirates Manager Johnson)
 
May 19- Anderson- 10:00am-1pm (snack shack/ Board member)
Bernal - 12:00am-4pm (snack shack/ Board member)

If unable to get your hitathon sponsorships to your child's managers you can also:
 
Place the money or check into an envelope. You can drop the envelope individually to the snack shack. Write child's name/ division/ team name on the envelope. Place the original copy of the hitathon sheet inside with the check or money.  However, we would encourage you to donate through the paypal site or hand to your manager.   
 
Please turn in the sponsorships as soon as possible. There are prizes associated for the individual player who raised the most money. There are also team prizes for the teams that raised the most money.
 
Player prizes:
  1. iPod shuffle
  2. $25.00 gift card to Toys R Us
  3. $15.00 card to Target
Team that brings in most:
  1. $100.00 toward the end of the season team party.
  2. $50.00 toward the end of the season team party .
  3. $25.00 toward the end of the season team party.

Responsible Sports: Resources for youth sport parents and coaches 

Oak Ridge Little League is part of the Responsible Sports Community and you can join them! Help Oak Ridge Little League earn a Community Grant this season at ResponsibleSports.com/Grant. Click on the link. The grant can be up to $2,500.00. The quiz is just 2 minutes long and both parents can take it.

Oak Ridge Little League will also be able to evaluate how it is doing in representing every kid and parent in the league. There is a mid year and end of year evaluation that responsible sports will be conducting so that we are able to improve our commitment in providing a positive baseball environment for your son or daughter.
